Principle of action and check of serviceability of functioning of the fuel pump

Remember that gasoline is extremely an inflammable liquid!

At work with power supply system components observe all taken measures of fire safety.

Do not smoke! Do not come nearer to a place of work with open fire or the redurable not protected by a lamp shade!

Do not make system service in the premises equipped working on natural gas and heating devices equipped with a control torch (such as водогреи and dryers for clothes).

Do not forget that gasoline is among cancerogenic substances, i.e., - the substances promoting development of a cancer!

Try not to suppose fuel hit on open sites of a body, use rubber protective gloves, at casual unforeseen contact to fuel carefully wash out hands warm water with soap.

Immediately collect the spilt fuel and do not put the rags impregnated with PETROLEUM PRODUCTS near to sources of open fire.

Remember that the power supply system equipped with injection of fuel of models constantly is under pressure.

Before to start a detachment of fuel lines, dump residual pressure in system.

At service of components of the power supply system put on goggles. Constantly hold near at hand the class fire extinguisher In!

Design and action principle

On the considered it is established электроприводной погружной the fuel pump лопастного type. Into structure of pump assemblage enter: приводной the electromotor, крыльчатка, the case, a cover, редукционный and запорный valves and топливозаборник with the mesh filter. The pump is united with the gauge of measurement of the expense of fuel in uniform assemblage which is located in a fuel tank.

At ignition inclusion on signal ECM there is an activation of the relay of the fuel pump, крыльчатка which starts to rotate.

The relay of the fuel pump remains in active position only in the event that ECM establishes the fact of start of the engine, or проворачивания a starter. Otherwise ECM in some seconds makes disconnection of a chain of grounding of assemblage and the pump it is disconnected.

Fuel is soaked up in the first лопастную a flute крыльчатки and on the connecting channel under the influence of centrifugal force is pumped over in next лопастную a flute. In the course of transition of fuel from one лопастной flutes in another under the influence of force of a friction there is a pressure difference.

As a result of rotation крыльчатки pressure of fuel also it gradually increases is pushed out from the working chamber, pumped over in a backlash between an anchor and a magnet and under a pressure leaves pump assemblage.

On reaching pressure of fuel of certain value there is an opening редукционного the valve and surplus of fuel on a returnable line goes back to a petrol tank. The reduktsionnyj valve, thus, allows to avoid dangerous increase of pressure of fuel.

At останове the engine the fuel pump also stops to function, thus under the influence of a spring works запорный the valve, blocking target port of the pump therefore the power supply system path remains under pressure.



1. Dump pressure in the power supply system (see Has undressed pressure Dump in the power supply system).
2. Uncover a jellied mouth of a fuel tank.
3. Disconnect a negative wire from the battery.

If the stereosystem established on the car is equipped by a security code before to disconnect the battery make sure that have a correct combination for audiosystem input in action!

Lift a pillow of a back seat and through a service aperture in the floor panel disconnect from pump assemblage electroconducting.

1. Release collars and disconnect from pump assemblage of a line of giving () and return () fuel, and also a hose эжекторного the pump ().
2. Give located on perimetre of the top flange fixing nuts and take assemblage from a fuel tank.
3. Submit pressure +12В on plugs 1 (-) and 4 (+) a contact socket of pump assemblage (the battery should be established as it is possible further a socket), - the pump should start to function. Faulty assemblage is subject to replacement.

In order to avoid an electromotor exit out of operation as a result of an overheat do not turn the pump without loading longer, than it is really necessary for check of serviceability of its functioning!

Installation is made in an order, the return to an order of dismantle of components.
