1. Check of a condition of components of the power supply system most easier to make on the car lifted over the earth, - take advantage of the lebedkoj/lift, or tyre out the car on a platform / a viewing hole.
2. At occurrence in salon of the car of a smell of gasoline during movement or after long parking under direct solar beams it is necessary to make immediately careful survey of all components of the power supply system.
3. Uncover a jellied mouth of a fuel tank and check up it on presence of damages and corrosion traces. On all perimetre of a sealing lining should pass a continuous trace of its dense pressing to a tank mouth. In case of revealing of defects replace a lining.
4. Check up a fuel tank and its jellied mouth on presence of punctures, cracks and other damages. Special attention give to survey of a place of a joint of a mouth with a tank. Sometimes mouth rubber starts to pass fuel owing to easing of fixing collars, or as a result of material ageing. Estimate reliability of fastening of a tank. Here those from possible problems are listed only, diagnostics and which elimination of the reasons lies within qualification of the average mechanic-fan.

At all do not make attempt of independent repair of a fuel tank (except for replacement of its rubber components) - contact containing even in carefully aired tank of residual fuel evaporations with a torch of a gas torch or any other source of an open flame can cause their detonation! |
5. Attentively examine all rubber hoses and the metal tubes of fuel lines going from a petrol tank.
