Problem of a regulator of pressure is restriction of pressure developed by the generator in the set limits. The regulator prevents overloads of contours and the other unpleasant phenomena connected with jumps of pressure.

The charge system does not require regular service. Nevertheless, it is necessary to check periodically a condition drive a belt of the generator, the battery, connecting electroconducting and it клеммных connections (Routine maintenance see the Head).

Check of a condition of system of a charge

Remember that infringements of functioning of system of a charge far are not necessarily connected with generator refusals. First of all always make following elementary checks:
  1. Check up a condition and effort of a tension drive a generator belt (Routine maintenance see the Head). In case of need make replacement;
  2. Check up reliability of a tightening of fixing bolts of the generator;
  3. Check up a condition of electroconducting and electric connections of the generator;
  4. At a corresponding complete set check up a condition of the fusible insert established between the traction relay of a starter and the generator, or a condition of the big main safety locks in an impellent compartment. In case of revealing of the beaten out elements, reveal and eliminate the reason of taking place overloads, then replace defective components;
  5. Check up a condition of all safety locks included in an electric chain of system of a charge. The site of safety locks and fusible inserts can vary depending on model and year of release of the car.
    f) Start the engine and estimate intensity of a noise background published by the generator;
  6. Check up electrolit density in banks of the storage battery, in case of need make additional charge of last;
  7. Make sure of completeness of a charge of the battery, - one faulty bank can be at the bottom of a battery recharge);
  8. Disconnect from the battery at first negative, then positive wires.

If the stereosystem established on the car is equipped by a security code before to disconnect the battery make sure that have a correct combination for audiosystem input in action!

Estimate a condition of wires of the battery in places of their their connection to polar plugs of last. Check up reliability of fastening клеммных clips.

Carefully having smoothed out contact plugs, connect the battery.


1. By means of the voltmeter measure the pressure which is given out by the battery at the muffled engine, - the result of measurement should make approximately 12 Century
2. Start the engine and repeat check: this time indications should make 14.1 14.8 Century
3. Include head headlights, - at regularly functioning system of a charge pressure should fall at first, then be restored to former level.
4. If the size of measured pressure considerably exceeds rating value, replace a pressure regulator.
5. At excessively low indications make checks of a regulator of pressure and the generator.
