Check

The traction relay

Check of serviceability of functioning of assemblage of the traction relay

Connect the positive plug of the battery to conclusion S of the traction relay, and negative - to the starter case. The gear wheel should be displaced on a shaft axis, and the starter can sometimes be scrolled.

Disconnect a wire from a conclusion of M and connect to a conclusion the positive plug of the battery, the negative plug of the battery is connected again to the starter case, - the gear wheel should return to a starting position, even it has been put forward by means of a screw-driver.

Again put forward a gear wheel in extreme position and measure a backlash between it and the assemblage case. Compare result of measurement to requirements of Specifications.

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. As well as on starters Nippondenso check is made in three modes: without loading, under loading and with applying of the brake moment.
2. The description of checks see in Section Starters Nippondenso - check and service.
3. Compare results of checks to requirements of Specifications. In case of need make corresponding corrections/replacements.

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Release a fixing nut and disconnect electroconducting from the plug of M of the traction relay.
2. Turn out fixing bolts and remove the traction relay in gathering with плунжером and its spring.
3. Turn out two coupling bolts and fastening screws щеткодержателя. Separate from стартерной assemblages a back arm and щеткодержатель.
4. With a marker or чертилкой mark case position статора concerning a forward arm. Take an anchor, then remove статор, - try not to lose a ball used as the bearing.
5. Remove the sealing ring, three planetary gear wheels, a lining and a plate.
6. Remove обгонную муфту in gathering with shaft, - try to remember adjusting position of the lever.
7. Wring out the clip placed in a stopper and take away a stopper from a ring. Remove a ring and a stopper and remove обгонную муфту from a shaft.

Обгонная муфта

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Check up gear wheel teeths on presence having chopped off and signs of excessive deterioration.
2. In case of need make replacement.
3. Manually check up smoothness of rotation of a gear wheel, - the gear wheel should rotate only in one direction.

At all do not wash out assemblage обгонной муфты in any solvents!


Brushes and щеткодержатель

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Measure length of brushes, compare results of measurement to requirements of Specifications in case of need make replacement.
2. Check up smoothness of movement of brushes in holders.
3. Make sure of absence of conductivity between щеткодержателем and its plate.
4. Measure developed щеточными by springs effort. Compare results of measurements to requirements of Specifications in case of need make replacement.

The traction relay

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Make sure available conductivity between plugs S and M, and also between plug S and the assemblage case.
2. Between plugs of M and In conductivity should not be.


Assemblage

Assemblage is made as it should be the return to an order of dismantle of components. Pay attention to following moments:
  1. Watch closely order and correctness of installation of all components;
  2. The components listed more low before installation are subject to greasing:
    1. Forward and back bearings;
    2. Gear wheel of a shaft of an anchor;
    3. Surface плунжера;
    4. Lever surface;
    5. Grooves of a shaft of a gear wheel;
    6. Surface of the lever and обгонной муфты;
    7. Ball at an end face of a shaft of an anchor;
    8. Internal components of planetary transfer.
  3. Having finished assemblage, make sure of serviceability of functioning of a starter.
