The general information and functioning principle

For a complete set of considered models generators of an alternating current, company Mitsubishi manufacture are used. On type the given generators concern to three-phase with the built in rectifier. The generator design is presented on an accompanying illustration. Alternating current straightening is carried out by means of диодной the assemblage consisting of four positive and four negative diodes. The control of target pressure of the generator carries out the built in regulator.

Continuous switching of a field winding of the generator by the special transistor provides a constancy of level of target pressure of the generator.

For the control of serviceability of functioning of the generator the control lamp which is a part of a combination of devices of the car is included in a chain of system of a charge. Number of the most typical refusals causing operation of a control lamp concern:
  1. The generator has ceased to give out pressure owing to deterioration of brushes, breakage of a field winding, etc.;
  2. Pressure given out by the generator exceeds 16В;
  3. There was a detachment of electroconducting from the plug In the generator;
  4. There was a detachment of electroconducting from generator plug S, - in the present state of affairs the generator will be given out by slightly raised pressure, however the battery remains protected from a recharge at the expense of serviceable functioning of a regulator of pressure.
Check and service

Removal of a regulator of pressure and диодной assemblages

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. If the back cover of the generator "has become attached" and does not give in to removal after a reversing of coupling bolts, warm up its soldering iron to temperature (50 60) С, is should help removal of a cover with роторного the bearing. Track, that at cover removal the spring washer has not been lost put in a bearing nest.
2. For отдавания drive a pulley it is necessary to clamp fastening nuts статор in a vice with soft sponges.
3. After removal of a forward cover (see more low) отпаяйте wires диодной assemblages from windings статора, - try to perform this work as soon as possible in order to avoid an exit of diodes out of operation as a result of an overheat. Turn out screws of fastening of a regulator to a back cover and отпаяйте a socket located between a regulator and the rectifier. Remove a pressure regulator.
4. Отпаяв wires, remove brushes.
5. Release a fixing nut, take isolating plug and remove диодную assemblage.

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Connect positive probe an ohmmeter to диодному to a conclusion, negative - to a radiator диодной assemblages, - the device should register the zero indication. At change of polarity of connection of an ohmmeter conductivity should disappear.
2. At check of the negative diode conductivity should take place only in a direction from the case to диодному to a conclusion.
3. For check диодной assemblages remove it from a back cover of the generator and serially check up an ohmmeter conductivity of each of three diodes, - conductivity should take place only in one direction. If any of diodes passes a current in both directions, or does not pass it at all, all диодная assemblage is subject to replacement.


Rotor

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Attentively examine a working surface of a contact ring on presence having chopped off, roughnesses, задиров and traces подгорания. Insignificant defects can be eliminated by processing of a surface by a fine-grained emery paper. At revealing of ineradicable defects the ring/rotor is subject to replacement.
2. By means of a calliper measure diameter of a contact ring. If the ring is worn out over an admissible limit (Specifications see) replace rings, or a rotor.
3. Check up resistance between contact rings of a rotor, - demanded value makes nearby 3 Ohm. At appreciable deviations of resistance from rating value the rotor is subject to replacement. Also check up assemblage on conductivity presence between each of contact rings and the rotor core/shaft. Conductivity presence (the zero indication of an ohmmeter) testifies to short circuit formation in a winding of a rotor and-or on a contact ring. The faulty rotor is subject to replacement.


Статор

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Make sure of absence of conductivity between windings and the core статора.
2. Between conclusions of windings conductivity, on the contrary, should take place.
3. In case of revealing of signs of short circuit or breakage in windings статор is subject to replacement.


Brushes

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Brushes are subject to replacement at deterioration till the length below 5 mm. Degree of deterioration of a brush can be defined also by means of a special label in which quality the bottom border of a logo of company Mitsubishi serves. For extraction of a brush from the holder it is necessary отпаять the electroconducting built in in it from the contact plug.
2. Fill a brush in the holder so that its end acted on 2 mm and measure effort of compression щеточной springs, - if the result of measurement makes less than 1.8 Н, the spring is subject to replacement.

The effort of compression of a new spring leaves 3.3 4.1 Н.


Bearings

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Manually estimate smoothness of rotation of bearings. In case of need make replacement.
2. The back bearing is taken by means of a usual stripper.
3. For replacement of the forward bearing remove its holder, establish on an internal holder approaching оправку, then squeeze out the bearing by means of a press or a vice.
