Diagnostics of malfunctions SRS

System of self-diagnostics SRS

Check of serviceability of functioning of control lamp SRS/AIR BAG

Include ignition, - control lamp SRS should light up and remain with burning a condition within nearby 8 seconds. Refusal of a lamp of deenergizing testifies that the module of self-diagnostics ECU SRS has revealed the malfunction which code is brought in memory of the processor (see more low).

Reading of codes of malfunctions SRS

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Include ignition (the engine do not start).
2. Connect the diagnostic plug to the plug № 1 diagnostic socket located under the bottom cover of the panel of devices, near to the console.
3. Reading written down in memory of the module of self-diagnostics of codes is made by calculation of gleams of control lamp SRS/AIR BAG. The long gleam (1.2) corresponds to tens (10), short (0.3), - to units. So, the code 12 will look as follows: one long gleam + two short.

If the stereosystem established on the car is equipped by a security code before to disconnect the battery make sure that have a correct combination for audiosystem input in action! Wait not less than 20 seconds.

4. Remove a ware box and disunite a contact socket of a passenger pillow of safety АВ9, located on the right under the panel of devices.
5. Connect a socket 1F diagnostic plait F to socket АВ9.
6. Connect the resistor of a pillow of safety to a socket 3F a diagnostic plait.
7. Remove the left bottom section of furnish of the panel of devices.
8. Disunite the bottom socket АВ8 of a cable drum and connect to it the plug 1F the second diagnostic plait to socket АВ8. To a socket 3F a plait connect the second resistor of a pillow of safety.
9. Connect a negative wire to the battery and include ignition. If control lamp SRS/AIR BAG is disconnected later 7 seconds and will remain in the disconnected condition within more than 30 seconds, replace the module of a passenger pillow of safety (see Has undressed Removal and installation of components SRS) and pass to performance of procedure of paragraph 18. If the control lamp highlights a malfunction code, pass to elimination of the reasons of corresponding refusal (see more low).
10. Switch off ignition and disconnect a negative wire from the battery.

If the stereosystem established on the car is equipped by a security code before to disconnect the battery make sure that have a correct combination for audiosystem input in action! Wait not less than 20 seconds.

11. Restore initial connection of bottom socket АВ8 of a cable drum.
12. Remove the module of a driver's pillow of safety (the Suspension bracket and a steering see the Head).
13. Connect a socket 1F a diagnostic plait to socket АВ7 to a socket 3F a plait connect the resistor of a pillow of safety.
14. Connect a negative wire to the battery and include ignition. If control lamp SRS/AIR BAG is disconnected later 7 seconds and will remain in the disconnected condition within more than 30 seconds, replace the module of a driver's pillow of safety (see Has undressed Removal and installation of components SRS) and pass to performance of procedure of paragraph 18. Otherwise (the lamp does not die away, or joins before the termination of the stipulated time interval), pass to a following stage of check.
15. Switch off ignition and disconnect a negative wire from the battery.

If the stereosystem established on the car is equipped by a security code before to disconnect the battery make sure that have a correct combination for audiosystem input in action! Wait not less than 20 seconds.

16. Remove the left bottom section of furnish of the panel of devices.
17. Disunite the bottom socket АВ8 of a cable drum and connect to it the plug 1F the second diagnostic plait to socket АВ8. To a socket 3F a plait connect the second resistor of a pillow of safety.
18. Connect a negative wire to the battery and include ignition. If control lamp SRS/AIR BAG is disconnected later 7 seconds and will remain in the disconnected condition within more than 30 seconds, replace a cable drum, otherwise (the lamp does not die away, or joins before the termination of the stipulated time interval), make reading of codes and pass to elimination of the reasons of the revealed refusals.
19. Connect a negative wire to the battery and include ignition. If control lamp SRS/AIR BAG is disconnected later 7 seconds and will remain in the disconnected condition within more than 30 seconds, clear memory of the module of self-diagnostics, otherwise repeat all cycle of checks (see above).
