Steering column, - the general information, safety measures

The steering column of under abnormal condition developing design enters into a standard complete set of all models. Before to start service of components of a steering column it is necessary to make without fail deactivation of a pillow of safety (SRS) which casual operation can lead to reception of traumas (see the Head the Onboard electric equipment).

It is possible to start service of components SRS after not less than 20 seconds after a detachment of a negative wire from the battery.

If the stereosystem established on the car is equipped by a security code before to disconnect the battery make sure that have a correct combination for audiosystem input in action!

Service of modules SRS should be made in goggles!

At all do not make stock-taking of electric conductivity of the modules of pillows of safety removed from the car.

Removed modules SRS should be put on a workbench necessarily decorative cover upwards, at module carrying over hold its cover from itself.

At exit SRS out of operation the car should be driven away at the first possibility on a car repair shop for carrying out of detailed diagnostics of system and performance of necessary regenerative repair.
